How To Reduce Nicotine Use

Remember when you first vaped? What did you like or dislike about it? Whatever your reasons were to switch to vaping, one of the objectives was to try something new. The eLiquid.com team believes that changing your nicotine use should be a personal decision. If you are looking for ways and means to find the right nicotine strength, here are some tips that you can follow.

Lower your nicotine strength temporarily

Vapers have started at higher strengths of nicotine when they initially started vaping, and other vapers still enjoy salt nic eLiquids. There is always a way to change your nicotine use. One way you can do this is to vape a lower nicotine strength of your favorite eLiquids. If you want to go from 12mg to 6mg, you can buy a bottle at the lower strength to see if your vaping experiences change for the better. The majority of eLiquid.com customers vape 3mg or 6mg nicotine strengths.

If you’re finding yourself going back to a higher strength, just remember that all things change. Our vaping experiences are no different. After vaping at the higher strength, you could go back down again at your own pace.

The important thing here is that you make a plan to eventually reduce your nicotine use. For instance, you can experiment with vaping a lower nicotine strength every two weeks, or you can limit the amount of time you vape if you aren’t ready to reduce your own nicotine use. These are some tips to modify your nicotine use without compromising your vaping journey and experience.

Think of the long term

Flavor bans and regulations are going to be part of vaping—there is no question about that. Some politicians and regulators have put interesting twists on regulating vape products. In 2019, Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL), who is known for his record against the vaping industry, introduced HR 4624. This bill would have required the nicotine content in eLiquids to only 20mg/mL. Salt nic vapers, who vape 35mg or 50mg nicotine strengths, would be then forced to lower their nicotine use.

The FDA has also stated that they will crack down on disposable vape devices. Some manufacturers have already been warned by the FDA. Disposable vape devices also have high nicotine content. Salt nic and disposable fans would then have to lower their nicotine usage sooner than later. Making the switch to lower nicotine strengths is advantageous to vapers since products with higher nicotine strengths could be forced off the market in the future.
